Hi all. I just bought a savage mk2 bv and would like to know what the torque settings are for Weaver bases and Burris Rings. I do not want to overtorque anything so am asking the experts here. Thanks in advance

More like 10 to 15 inch pounds

30 in-lbs for the mount to the bases, and 15 in-lbs on the rings, where the 'scope rides.

My BAD! Josh is correct! I was thinking of the action screws - sorry! I am getting too old for this shit anyway.

Its a good idea to use removable thread locker (locktite) on the base screws too but not on the rings.

OK thanks. I got everything mounted and used blue loctite. Scope sighted in at 25 yards was punching one ragged hole. Thanks alot guys.

65 inch pounds is still way to much for the action screws on a rimfire. i set mine at 25 inch ponds and adjust to see where the rifle groups best and set it there!!!

I've got a Mark 2 BV and want to put a one piece base on it, but need longer screws. Any one know what the thread size is? Thanks
