new here and was wondering if my 110 in 270 can be converted to a 300 win mag

yes, it certainly can. You will need:
long action magnum push feed bolt head
magnum magazine
300 Win Mag prechambered/prethreaded barrel

plus all of the neccessities to remove a barrel and headspace the new one.

Almost too simple, I couldnt belive it when I slowly realized you could do this with these guns.

Just make sure you get the bolt head for the same style action, ie. long action and right or left handed, whichever yours is.

If you want to sole source, SSS can supply everything I believe. But, piecewise and maybe cheaper, the bolt head can be had from Midway bare. You'll have to swap your extractor and ejector over to it. The magazine parts can be had from Savage. The barrel can come from Midway, SSS, Northlander, Douglas themselves, Shilen themselves, and a whole host of other good reputable suppliers. The consensus on wrenches is that SSS's is the best; Midway sells one as well. Mine from SSS is top notch. I've whacked it many times and the only wear is where the hammer is hitting it. The teeth still look great. You might want to go ahead and get an aftermarket lug while it's all broken apart. Again, Midway, SSS, Brownells, Northlander, and more can supply one of those.
