You will need to use a thread that will allow you to leave a bit of a shoulder on the barrel to jam your brake against, while at the same time leaving enough material between the minor diameter of the threads and the major diameter of the bore. For example 1/2-28 works well on .224" cartridges, but is too thin for 7mm rounds. 9/16-24 will most likely be a decent choice for under 30 cal, but 5/8-24 is more standard. It will all depend on the dia. of your barrel and the caliber you are shooting. You will most likely have to have the barrel cut back to have enough material to thread properly.

I would go with 2.25"

or maybe start by telling us what you want it to fit?

I would imagine if you shorten the barrel about 2" you would have enough meat to have a shoulder and thread 5/8-24.

Sweet gun! I have the 308 axis sr that came with threaded barrel, and it actually flares at the end of the barrel to accomodate the threading. I have to ask, since I am not NFA expert, but it looks like you paid the same amount as the rifle for two tax stamps (sbr and can). I have to lol, but I AM jealous..
