Hello Group: I'm a long time Savage lover beginning with my dad's 50's vintage 99eg. I now own it and and another one like it plus an A, C, F and R. IMHO these are the greatest looking and fun to use rifles around. Well, last week I picked up a Savage 93 R17 BTV-XP at Cabela's. I wanted to get the BTVS but when I picked it up it seemed really short in the length of pull. I've got an itch to get a Mark II BV in .22 cal so I can shoot more for less money. My question is this...does anyone have any experience switching a BV action into an aftermarket thumbhole stock. If so, what stock manufacturer would you recommend? How about the Mark II BV TR? Would I be better off waiting for this rig to become available? Do we know when it will hit the market? And what about the black wood stock? Any reason it wasn't made available in laminate or synthetic? I've probably broken 15 rule's with this post so please forgive the longwindedness.
Thanks

Welcome to the site,
Sharp Shooters Supply (SSS) has great rimfire stocks.
