Has anyone tried this powder and if you did what were your
results? Getting ready to load some 223 for me new build..

Since I have some here,I thought I might give it a try if
any of you think it is worth the effort..Thanks-John

I would not. Although I don't have any personal experience with it in .223, I would not think RL-7 would be very ideal in .223 - I think it's just too fast and there are several proven choinces. I would think RL-7 would be more ideal with lighter pills (like 50gr) and shorter barrels... think AR-15 cartridges. Of course, I assumed you were aksing about a Savage rifle (that is what this forum caters too, so I think that is reasonable even if you did not specify what you were reloading for).

Anyway... you have the powder and want touse it. So why not try anyway?

I do all the time, 26gr of it with 40Vmax's same recipe as H4198, 4044 FPS with a 12 twist 26" McGowan,as always work your way up.
