Why did Savage stop making this model ? I WAS very interested in this one until they took it off the list last week.

I called Savage ,marketing director she had no idea why they discontinued this model,but you can order one for 999
I got lucky found last one of 300 winmag on gunbroker , they still have one in 25-06

I just had my dealer order a 110 FLP 25/06 for me a couple weeks ago. I called Savage and talked to someone in custom guns and they took my info,and my dealer just had to call them and give them my name for all the gun info. Savage quoted me a MSRP for around $850,my dealer let me get it for alot less.
I hope it doesn't take forever to get it. And if it shoots anything like the 110 FLP 300WM I have,I'll be very happy.

Now if Choate will just hurry up on producing their Tactical stock for Long Actions.

I have a 10FLCP-K in .308 and just ordered a 110FLCP-K in 300 Win Mag from the custon shop. Effie told me it would be about 6 weeks. If Savage has the different parts, they can put it together.....it just takes a little time.

Whats the recoil like on that .300 in the FP model? I was hoping to get my hand on one later this year once things settled down on my .308's

I have a .300 FLCP-K. I have a Harris 6-9 bipod on it. What height rear monopod would be best? Atacacorp, how do you like the cheekpiece?

I am looking for one that can be adjusted up to 4.75" ,think its good for bench rest shooting, but they have different heights,check the
website I gave in post above.

Cheekpiace is great , installation is easy , just make sure that the bolt is coming out all the way with the cheekpiace on,before drilling halls in the buttstock

I just came from the range ;D
my best group of 3 was 1.5" 200 yards,100 yards 0.70-1", I was shooting 180g Privi Partizan. Recoil is not that bad.Only one thing,accutrigger will jam the first stage of the trigger, only once in a while. If you cycle the bolt it unjams. I sow the guy with the savage , and I asked him if he ever heard about this problem and he told me that he had same thing happening on his savage10,he tried calling savage, they told him to make pull of his trigger heavier :o, at the end he end up with sss trigger.
It kind of suck , I like this accutriger.
Anyone have any tips or tricks to fix it?I rely hate to lose a buck o hog because of this problem

I think it was just replaced by the new Long Range Hunter line. They appear to be the same gun with a Karsten cheek piece added.
