I am familiar with the Savage line, but not the Stevens, and I see some of you gentleman are building on stevens actions. Can someone tell me what parts are used on both guns? Neither Savage or Stevens are popular here where I live.Do the barrels interchange, triggers etc? Thanks in advance

Best that I can tell is the trigger is different no accutrigger or accustock on the stevens and the savage machine marks on the barrel and reciever are polished out better other than that same gun Have been told that the triggers will not interchange

Any parts that fit a Savage fit a Stevens. Barrel swapping is the same. Most Stevens used for actions are bought because the rifles themselves are relatively cheap. They part out the rifle and sell what parts they dont want to lower the overall cost to get the action. If you want just an action to build your own rifle, give Jim Briggs a call, he advertises here. He wil sell you everything you need along with a lot of information. Its the best way to get a great rifle to your specs.

The Stevens may not be as well polished or be bedded and you may have to sand the stock a bit to make it free floating BUT where else can you get a rifle that shoots M O A or better out of the box for the price. That is why I have a few of them as well as 9 bbls. Yes in 10 minutes I can go from 20 VT to 30-06 and most of the bbls only cost about $80.00 each.

the stevens is nothing but the old 110 action with short barrels and
now you have the marlin XL7 & XS7 to trade barrels with to and is also a moa
shooter out of the box selling for less that $300.00
plus with a much better stock on them
