The Riffle Is new took the scope off of my AR .243 short mag. Has the night force solid mount so i never removed scope from mount.
installed it on the new savage 110ba 300 win mag.Put a 6 inch red bulls eye on a piece of paper 2 feet wide ad 4 foot long,
Thought i would hit near the target and adjust zero. Not a mark on the paper at 100 yrds.
Bore sighted it. cross hairs 4 feet over everything.
scope set a lowest mark started raising turret. 40 min up it lowered hit to top of target not bulls eye.
was shooting 150 grn Winchester factory bullets.
Primer blown out of 4 round Gun jammed Had to take cleaning rod and drive cases out of chamber.
About now I am wondering what I spent 4k for gun and scope for.
I am not new to shooting 80 years old and have been reloading and shooting for 60 years.
Today was the worst day I ever spend on the range.
Took the 1885 Winchester in 45/70 out and started hit the mark at 300 yrd Iron sight.
So much for my modern Marva l .

The NF Unimount setup is pretty high, mechanically re-zero (both elev and win) your scope then on bags or bipod bore-sight or laser cartridge the target and crank the scope to it and then start. If that does not put you within 3 or 4 inches at 100 something else is going on.
