so far, my only options for my savage 10fp are a bell and carlson (which is a bit heavy ), the choate, (which is really heavy) and the stockade (which is perfect, but a 16-18 week wait.) these are all the options that ive found.

are there any other options out there for a 4.41, centerfeed action?

what do you guys use on yours?

I have Boyd's/Stocky's thumbholes on mine. One is a lightweight and two are varmint styles.

Manners and McMillan make stocks for Savages as well. Then there are all the chassis systems. Wait time on the good stocks is pretty long.

Have you checked out SharpShooterSupply? They have some nice looking stocks.

Boyds Thumbhole Varmit Bull in 223 and 308 for me. Dropped right in with new action screws from Boyds. For $99.00 finished price on stock was a deal ! A whole new comfortable , solid shooting experience .

What are you doing with it that makes the B&C too heavy? I have the B&C Medalist on my 10FP SR, with that stock, sling, scope and bipod-it weighs 11.8 lbs. If you're walking a long way while hunting, I can see that getting old. But if you're just going to a range, it shouldn't be too bad.
