Boots that's a great idea and all but they never RSVP when I send them an invite. I used to have them all the time when I ran my feeders but with the cost of corn over $9/50# and each feeder takes 6 sacks a week ($108). I had to cut back and as a by product they pigs thinned out.

That would get costly at over a 100 bucks a week per feeder. I couldn't swing it thats for sure.

Revisiting this, I ended up selling the stevens action as I wasnt moving forward on the project as fast as I wanted. Fast forward 8 more months and Im kicking around a 6.5 creedmoor rifle again. local shop as a Savage 10 FCP-SR for sale thats used 950 with rings. So I buy that rifle and put a 6.5 barrel on. Total cost 1200ish and a barrel to keep or sell. Or try and find a 10 TR, Other option is start all over..... Im not sure what I want to do. Part of me says order the stock first as it a long wait and go from there.

I just bought a 12 LRP for 998. Why not buy a new gun?

Buy a hog hunter(<$475). Replace the barrel and stock with a quality stock(<$400) and barrel ($325) of your choice. Sell the barrel ($100).
Final price around $1200 dollars with all the tools you will need and have a much better stock.

Sorry, I was talking to the OP with this post in mind.
