Brand new 116 Bear Hunter

I got a brand new Bear Hunter 116 in 300 win/mag and want to change the factory break. Found a link on how to remove it but the link no longer works. Anyone have the steps. I want to do it while its brand new and easiest to get off. Also can the hinged floorplate be converted to detach magazine. Would like at least a 5 to 7 round capacity instead of 3.

Yes u can convert from hinged to DBM parts from savage or post in classifieds someone may want to trade. Not familiar with brakes on a bolt gun.

The factory muzzle brake is the adjustable version from savage. Looks nice but have read its not as effective as it should be.
