New to Savage rifles got a couple questions.
I have purchased a couple new rifles in the last couple weeks. I picked up a Savage 116 stainless 7mm mag yesterday. I got a heck of a deal i think
(200.00) used from a guy needing some cash for Christmas. I want to work this gun up for a mule deer hunt we are planning next year. I am interestd in a pic rail for this gun prefer one that matches the stainless.Suggestions? I am mounting a 4-12 VXIII 30 mm tube 50 obj. on it. any suggestions on a good one don't want to spend a ton as usual. Also its heading to the gunsmith as soon as my brake shows up.
Next gun is a axis in 7-08. I slapped a brake on this gun and the recoil is like a .223 or less. It has a vxII 3x9x50mm on it. I have not had time to do any load development but shoots good groups as is at 100. waiting on the Rifle Basix trigger. Any suggestions for this gun to improve accuracy? or a load recommendation.
