243,

I have a load on my bench for the 140gr Berger VLD in my 6.5 Swede in which I am getting 2725fps as measured ten feet from my barrel. My powder that I've always gotton great results with is RL-22. I also load RL-22 under the Hornady 129gr. and get a MV of 2674. Yes, I know your looking at those number and saying Wha???....but if my memory serves me right, I think (and if you request I'll look up the load data) the Hornady data was the maximum Hornady book load. This shot so well "out of the gate" that I didn't bother to fool with it. In fact, I took my very first WY antelope with this load. (The 129gr. Hornady) It was bang....flop....grill......MMMMMMM!!!

I have used the 130 Bergers in three 6.5x55's. One M96 Mauser and two Shilen barreled Savages. My best loads came with H4350 and Reloader 17. The best 130g bullet I ever used was not the Berger but the Norma Golden Target.

Lapua has some data for modern chambers. http://www.lapua.com/en/products/reloading/vihtavuori-reloading-data/relodata/5/98.
Norma has data for the 130g Target Bullet. http://www.lapua.com/en/products/reloading/vihtavuori-reloading-data/relodata/5/98
