Is it possible to convert my 22-250 to .223 with new barrel?

It will take a .223 barrel, bolt head, magazine box and follower. And another barrel nut because a pipe wrench is about the only thing that will remove a factory installed smooth barrel nut with a first time barrel swap in my experince.

By the time you buy a barrel,bolt head and clip it might be wiser to just buy another Axis in 223. You can make it a switch barrel but in my experience you aint gonna do it often, it is easier if you stay within the same case so all you have to do is swap barrels.
