While calling coyotes, this little female bobcat came sneaking in hoping for a meal on the rabbit in distress.

Maybe you will get to use a few of them before season is out.

Awesome

Are you using an electronic caller or a hand call? If hand call what make and model?

Do you find your call will bring in fox as well as cats?

I use electronic calls personally. It allows you separate yourself from the sound unlike hand calls that tells the prey exactly where you are located. I use distress calls such as, rabbit and jackrabbit distress. There are lots of variations in the calls. This particular cat reacted to a "weems" rabbit in distress.

That is a beautiful coat. Do you do anything with the furs?

Agreed on the "beautiful"!

And as 22-250 pointed out "she came sneaking in" ......... is very apt for these cats which adds to the cool factor!!

They are so stealthy and secretive that with that coupled with their awesome coloration, you've got one hard to see animal. The ones we have here are not very afraid these days and they'll (sometimes) just sit down behind a bush or two and watch you in broad daylight, confident in their mind that we just don't see them.

Best regards

Thanks everybody...I feel very fortunate to have had a chance to shoot such a beautiful animal. I will honor her by having her mounted. Can't wait to get her back.

What load did you get her with and what kind of damage was there? Beautiful cat and I keep hoping I'll get one someday.
