Anyone have experience with this chambering from CBI? I'm looking to order one on Friday and want to know if I can easily load the 140gr class bullets (specifically the Nosler 140gr CC [got 1k seconds for $160] and the Hornady 140gr Amax) to mag length.

I'm planning to put into a B&C Medalist Tactical in the short term (load development and initial trigger time) till I get the funds to move it to an XLR Industries chassis.

edit: yes I plan to speak to Jim, but also wanted some opinions from others.

I'm not sure the difference in Criterion's 260 chambers, but my 260 tube was ordered shortly after Criterion brought their prefits onto the scene and I had no problem whatsoever loading a 140gr A-Max to the lands and fitting in a short action centerfeed blind magazine.

Running CDI DBM now, I have to use Alpha Type 2 magazines as my load is 2.91" OAL.

The 140gr Nosler CCs will be much shorter to the lands with their tangent ogive than a VLD-type secant ogive bullet like the 140gr A-Max.

Good to know. I got an excellent deal on the Noslers and wanted something I could get trigger time with on the cheap. My plan is to move to the Hornady's after these run out.

Guess I need to give Jim a call soon.

The Criterion 260 and 260 Match are the same chambers with different free bore lengths. The standard 260 Remington calls for a free bore of .118. The 260 Remington Match will have a .160 free bore. several shooters were concerned that they were seating their 140 and 142 grain bullets too deep. The additional .042 that comes on the 260 Remington Match Chamber allows for extended seating length without having to seat them into the rifling.

Anyone using the 260 rem match chamber? How has it perform with the 140's? I plan to use 130 to 140 gr and its going on a long action.
