Ok, yes I admit I got a little worried about when my barrel was going to actually arrive and maybe I got a little upset over the phone but I figured I owed McGowen the decency of coming back and reviewing my barrel after I got it on and fired.

This is a Bull contour .308 1in 10 twist 20 inch long barrel attached to my Savage 110, standard trigger on a B&C tactical stock using a SWFA 12x42 scope.

This is the target for the first three rounds fired through it at 100yds. I installed the barrel (which went on and headspaced easily) boresighted the scope and fired three rounds of Hornady 168g Amax ammo.

Center to center measured just a little over .6 inches at 100yds.

I cleaned the barrel and fired three more on a different target and got the same.

Another cleaning and a few clicks up on the scope got me this.

Round 1 and 2 were right on top of each other with me tanking #3.

So basically thank you McGowen, I apologize for being a pain in the ass but the wait was well worth it.

Did not know that B&C made a tactical stock for the long action???

Good catch, for so long I have had to explain to so many people what a Stevens 200 that I started calling it a savage. I forgot that on this site people know the difference. It is a stevens 308 so it is a short action, not a long.

Was just hoping they made a long action stock that I didn't know about.

I have McGowen on all of my rifles. From the ar to the savages. And done a bunch of barrels with them. Great product
