Thank you for all the compliments.
I must admit the vacume chamber idea was not mine, but from one of the smartest guys I have ever meet. I barrowed the chamber from him as well.

Everything on the stock was done free hand. On the inletting I did get a bit of help.

That's a professional stock you've made, what is the purpose of the offset forearm? If I had to guess, I would say that it helps control the torque as it tracks.

Bench rest shooting really interest's me. I hope to get into it someday.

Regards,
Dan

Thank you Dan,
Yes the offset stock is to control torque, it is my version of a Dogtracker. The stock is built for an Axis, to shoot 600 and 1000 yard IBS/NBRSA matchs with. I did shoot one 600 yard match with it when it was still in primer, and it tracked excelent. Hopefully you will get into benchrest It is a sport I truly love. This is a low buck build, I have less than $800 in it, with scope.

It's awesome when you make your own stock isn't it. I have made three using the original tuperware and bondo. I have also made two out of plywood. They are awesome.

Well I thought I would breath some life back into this post and show some pictures of the action used.
Here is the bolt handel

Also notice this model has the new gold target accu-trigger, and the right side bolt release.

A few picture for the stock test run at SE ohio 600 match, looking like a rat rod sitting in primer. Gun shoots amazingly well.

What happened to the sparklies? If they are gone, than BOO on you! They added personality and pizazz!

If you can shoot well AND look good, you've won two battles! Keep up the good work.

The pictures of the stock in Grey primer, are prior to the paint job, For a "test run at SE ohio 600 match" to see how the rifle handedl. Lets put it this way the gun earned its paint job.

I thought it looked a little too green in the back ground for Ohio for this time of the year.
