Welcome to the site,
As far as aftermarket barrels go, you will find that they are all on about the same playing field. Somepeople like one batter than another and vise versa. I find that if you want the best get a cut rifled barrel, like a Krieger, Brux, or bartline. Out of the 3 my favorite is Brux, and I have them on both of my competition benchrest rifles, and have faired very well with them. As far as headspace it is simple buy a go and a no go gauge, and set it up. Put the go gauge in the chamber screw it on the action, when you can not screw the barrel on anymore, then lock the barrel nut. Pop the go gauge out and double check your work with the No-go gauge, just pop it in the chamber, and if the bolt will not close on it, you're done, pop it out and go shoot.
