On the Savage site the "new" 10FP comes with the AccuStock...stange because on the photo the stock is different but the safety is still the old one, and the barrel nut is the notched one. Anyone can confirm this? http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/10FP

Firearms and so many other companies do that all the time, i.e. use old stock photographs untill they do a major new photo shoot. Sig is still using photos that are close to 8 years old on some of their models.

So the "new" 10FP comes with a smooth barrel nut and the the new safety and the AccuStock?

I just received a 10FLCP-K several weeks ago as a retirement gift from my old unit and Savage, it has the smooth nut, fluted barrel, in line safety, new style muzzle brake, accu-trig and accu-stock. My first Savage after shooting Winchester and then Remington's through my career and I'm very impressed. The Savage rep went over the new features that Savage is proud of and this rifle easily out shoots the Rem's that I've been issued in the past.

What exactly is the "new" safety. I am familiar with the smooth barrel nut, but not a different safety. I am asking because I want a new 10fp that will be placed into a McMillan stock; however, I don't want to run into problems with the stock if the current inlet would not work. It seems as though Savage makes changes all the time.

The link you posted says it does not come with the accustock but the picture shows the accustock. I know the 10FCP comes with the accustock but what about the 10FP? I was just curious cause I just ordered a new 10FP. I went with the 10FP cause I didn't like the muzzle break on the 10FCP.

The 10FCP-K comes with the brake. The 10FCP does not.
