I'm new to the forum so here's my first question. I just bought a savage mod 11 hog hunter and would like to put a picitiny weaver base on it. I'm just not sure which part # it is. Any help would be appreciated.

It isn't a part number so to speak. It is a part that is sold by every one that makes scopes and scope rings. Weaver is a good one that don't cost a lot. It is the brand that I use. If you are going to be shooting past 600 yards you may want a 20 moa base. That helps out for very long shots, so the scope don't run out of adjustment. Your Hog Hunter is a model 11 if yours is a 308 or 223 so you will be looking for a base for a Savage model 11. Hope that helps. Have a great day.

It is a part number number, actually three of them. #48338 (cheapest one), # 99496 (20 MOA decent quality) and #99495 (0 MOA same quality as 20 MOA base).

Those are actual Weaver part numbers for a Picatiny rail for Savages. If you are just looking for a Picatiny style then I would look at Evolution Gun Works (EGW), Blackhawk (steel base), Warne (alwys a good choice) and then up to the higherend ones. You are looking for a base that fits a Savge Model 10 Round Reciever.
