What's the difference in a picatinny round back or flat back scope base. Does one look better than the other or function better. I am building a 12fvss 22-250 vortex crossfire 6-24x50 scope and burris signature zee rings. If anybody has similar setup did you go with low or medium rings
thanks for any input.

The "round" or "flat" back is referring to the type of action you have. The older Savages were flat where the rear of the scope base mounts, whereas the newer ones are round just like the front. So you just need to look on your action where the rear scope base sits. If its round you need the round back base, and if it is flat you need the flat back base.

For thats scope/base combo you will need medium height Burris rings.

I use the EGW on all my builds, good value for the money.
