Went to my stand and was there about 10 minutes, turn around to get my Thermocell turned on, turned back around and saw this Yote coming in. Shot the thing left handed (right handed shooter) with my used action, a used 243 barrel from a member of this site, a different barrel lug, and Berger 95 grain VLD hunting bullets. The distance was only 97 yards, but the Berger blew the coyote's heart out and it dropped like a rock. I have killed several hog's with these bullets and try work. The Berger's will tear up some meat so shot placement is key to any shot. Man I love this rifle, my Browning's haven't seen daylight is years.

The taxidermists is charging me $325.00 to do a head mount, I hope it comes out nice.

Very nice!

Now to be a sarcastic such and such. Is that Santa's red shirt under that camo?

Sorry, just couldn't pass on the resemblance.

Ha! Very observant. Apparently even Santa needs to get out in the woods from time to time!

I too can attest to the 243's effectiveness on yotes. Used an 85gr Sierra BTHP on one at about 250yds ,and I could have put my hand in the hole.

Hey, do ya think ole Chris Cringle just sits around when there is no snow?

I do sit around some, but I think that comes with old age! I'm glad to live in a place that does not sell snow shovels, can't think why anyone would.

Sure you can tell me what's on your Christmas list... I have a small list. I would like to have a Savage repeater in 218 Bee or 22 K-Hornet.

My first kill with my 30-06 was a coyote. I still have the pelt in my room. Good shooting!
