So I stopped by a local pawn shop, and came across a Savage 110 in 30-06. First three numbers of serial number is 675 it has a wood stock and accutrigger. It also has a Simmons 3x9 scope (I'm guessing original combo.). They are asking $329 its in good to great shape. I asked if they had any room on the price and they said $300 out the door. I always liked Savage being American and American made. Do you guys feel this is a good deal? We are coming close to deer rifle season here in Texas.

Yes, that's about a $550 gun brand new out the door.

I'm assuming it will be very accurate. Better than a Remington 700.

Sounds like a good deal to me. You could get a brand new Axis for the same price, but the 110 is a better gun with a much better trigger.

Grab it! Even if you don't need it right now you'll find a use for it eventually. There's also a lot more aftermarket support for the 110. Beware, they're like potato chips, betcha can't stop at 1.

That sounds like the model 110GXP3 (package)with the monte carlo stock that is hard to find now. Savage no longer uses the monte carlo with that distinctive raised comb on the stock.
I have one. I put the scope on my squirrel gun.
