The pillar on the front action screw got stuck when I was glass bedding my rifle and when I unscrewed the action screw it turned and now is removable. Should I take some bedding compound and apply it to the pillar and stick it back in or is it fine to have it movable in the stock. It takes a fair amount of pressure to push it out but I don't like the idea of it being even slightly loose in there. I'll have to take and drill the bedding compound out before I do anything. Also, should I push the rear pillar out and bed that too? The stock is a laminate wood stock off of a Savage BVSS.

Super glue it.

Cut some grooves in your pillar so the glue/epoxy has something to grip.

I would take it out and reinstall it. If it is moving it is defeating the purpose. Make sure you degrease the piller and scratch it up so the compound will adhere to it. As long as the rear pillar still lines up I see no need to remove it.
