Whats your thoughts on the 10x40 fixed MD scope for bushnell?

Decent scope for up to what range?

I have used it to shoot out to 600 yards with my 223.

Really like the scope. Nothing fancy, no frills, good glass, repeatable adjustments, and easy to use knobs.

that is the caliber I was going to mount the scope on, do you still have that glass on that gun or have you upgraded?

I have the new Elite Tactical 10x40 on my 22-250. It has very accurate adjustments. I mounted it to a rifle and put a bushnell boresighter (the one that has a target etched into the glass) and it always came back to zero after several rotations of the turrets. It is very clear and pretty bright, and seems to be made well. The adjustments proved accurate in the field when sighting in also.

I have not upgraded, but am considering it. The only trouble is how happy I am with this glass. I dont want to get rid of it!!

I did put a rattle can paint job on the rifle and scope. I'm sure I wouldnt be able to get rid of it now.

I have two. Originally had one on my 17hmr. Not well suited for that one as it does not focus well under 50m, but I have two .223's that wear them. Accurate, fixed focus means that the mil-dots are always accurate for range estimation. Clear glass. My only beef, the over all length is short, so not lots of room to move around. A one piece rail fixed that up though.

Hows was the glass at 600 yards, clear or alot of swag to take the shot? Whats the minimum size target that you could see/shoot at that range?

The size is one of my two complaints, its looks like a pistol scope with turrets on steroids, as long as aesthetics follows function.

I have 2 of them also, and right now they reside on an AR15 and a FN FAL. I only shoot them out to 400 meters and mostly on steel. I use them in timed events and mil-dots are the only way to go. They have proven to be durable and repeatable for many years now and I like them a lot.

I changed the green numbering on the yurts and scope body to white. Big help in low light

The new Elite Tactical 10x40 has white numbering on the turrets already. The previous 3200 had a different colour on them (gold on the ones I've seen).
