So I have a older savage with a flat rear and round front. The previous owner put two rounded bases on it so when I put my new nikon on it, it wasn't able to be sighted. Everything was a few feet low. So now I need to find a set of bases that have the rear flat and front rounded. When I look on midway, I see this:

It says that the back is flat. Does that mean the front is flat also? Or are front's always round.

Fronts are the same for both flat and rounded rear receivers. Weaver has an application chart that makes this easy to see; that's how I got clear on it.

Yes.I would have bought those myself last week for my 116 except I need extended bases.
