My 17 is retired law enforcement. It's got a few marks from holster rub. I think it gives it character. Not enought character for me to keep it if the right deal comes along, but character just the same. I've thought about getting it a make-over a few times but i think trade in will happen first. I just need to A) find the right deal & B) direct my thoughts and attention away from Savage & toward Glock. I think choice "B)" will be easier said than done....
