ML-II preferred powder?

I can't seem to get the search function to find any references to the ML-II.

I'm wondering what everyone has settled on for their preferred powder and slug?

I've read Randy Wakeman's articles, just wondering if everyone agrees on AA5744

AA5744 is probably the most versatile and most forgiving powder. That is what my pastor and I settled on for his ML II. Other friends shoot VVO 110 with 250s and VVO120 with 300s. Some others tend to favor IMR 4198. The list goes on.

I'd be interested in hearing the 4198 loads, or where to look for them. I'm having trouble tracking down 5744, and Vihtavouri powders aren't even on the horizon around here.

I use SR4759 in mine and my Son does to, that is with 250 to 300 gr bullets.

jeff 518,where are you from as I have about 3/4 of a pound I am not using you can have cheap cheap.

a5744 is what i use now i did use n110 but didnt shoot good in cold weather for me shot a little a2400 but just didnt seem as good as the a5744

I beleive randy wakeman's web site has some loads listed with RL-7. I use N-120 and the Barnes Original 300 gr. Very good accuracy and performance out to 300 yards for deer size game.

Thanks for the help gentlemen, I was able to find the thread in Randy's forum, that led to loads with different powders.

My preferred powder is H4198, shoots very well with 250 gr bullets. Second choice AA5744.
