Has anyone had a probelm with shooting the 55gr Remington Psps out of a 22-250 barrel with a 1:9 twist? I dont want to buy a 22-250 barrel with the fast twist and have the bullets explode because they are spining to fast.

I would be very surprised if you could explode the 55 grain bullets in the 1:9 tube. I shoot even lighter bullets in the 52 grain range and have no issues.

The only 55 that the 8 twist has blowen up is the Horady SPSX. If you can gettem to a small critter though its fun to watch :o

Alright, Just wanted to make sure that i could shoot the 55grs without any problems. I was reading online that people were having a problem with the high velocity 22-250s with the fast twist.

This what I can tell you from first hand experience. I have a .22-243 Middlestead with 1:8 twist. It will shoot 55 grn BTs into the .3s all day long at .22-250 velocity and maybe a little more. When you start pressing them to .220 Swift velocities they started opening up a lot. I don't see a problem with them in a 1:9 twist in a .22-250 other than the particular rifle you buy may not like them but you always run that risk.
