Barrel Info

OK changing the barrel on my 300 Win Mag trying to keep cost down so the BOSS doesn't kill me. I have read as many things as I can find on them and most are pretty good reviews some not so good but that is that way with anything. So what I did was order a heavy barrel for it from E R Shaw does anyone here have any first hand experience with them cause like I said most say they are better then factory match but not the same as Hart, or any of the other guys so any help would be great. I have a 22-250 barrel from ER Shaw that was made for the Adams & Bennett brand and it is a great shooter.

I have a 308 varmint weight SS barrel kit that will keep 168 SMK's at 1" @ 100yds. When cleaning it feels very smooth on the inside and doesn't seem to copper up at all. Good barrel for $200.

As I have said on here before, I have a couple of Shaw's and they all shoot great. One is a 24 inch 243 and my best group is .094 at 100 yds. for 5 shots. It seems to like 87 gr. Hornady also.

Thanks thats what I wanted to hear. Getting the 26 incher for my 300 win mag. Should work well
