If i change my stevens 200 from a 7mm-08 to a 223 will i need to get a different magazine? Also what about a 22-250 or a 243?

In order to go from a 7MM-08 to a .223 you will need a .223 bolthead. You may also want to change out the front baffle from the standard one you have, to the "extended" one (for a shorter bolt throw).

If you want a repeater, you will need a new magazine and follower.

The bolthead you have now will handle the .22-250, or the .243

Carvera is right. As far as mag goes, the 7mm-08 and 243 are compatible, but you'll probably have to squeeze the feed lips together for the 22-250 if it's a centerfeed. Not much experience with staggerfeeds so someone else will have to chime in if you have an older model.

The easiest would be to install a single shot follower in your current magazine. You can still get subsequent rounds off pretty fast.

The staggered feed guns used the same mag box and follower on 22/250, 243, 308, 7mm08, etc. Centerfeed guns have a special magazine for a 22/250.

So does that mean that the only difference is the magazine box and not the follower?
