Hi all

I will be going to the range every Friday PM for the next 2 months, and since it is a 100 yard only, I decided to make a Benchrest rig with my gun. I know 223 is not a perfect caliber for BR, but hey, why not.

Tomorrow I'll start working a load with Hornady 52 grain match bullet over CFE223. I want to learn to shoot free recoil also.

My goal is to shoot Varmint for score match, that is 25 targets, with as many sighters as you like. I see it like golf, beat myself every time.

Here is the new stock I made. Baltic birch plywood, Devcon pillar bedding, Krylon blue paint. Buttpad is 1/4 inch aluminium.

Good shooting Bob.

You know he's doing that just to P O us "non - woodworking" types.... I know he's doing it because he knows I can't even make toothpicks out of wood.

Once again, nice work Bob.
Hope it shoots as good as it looks.

So far so good. Shooting free recoil is something I'l have to practice a bit, but all went well.

Very Nice looking stock, I have been in the process of building my own stock. I started out with Luan plywood, I have $17 bucks into the stock, including the brass but plate. I offset my forarm like a dog tracker. I just got the bedding done and I am about to pint it.
