38.0 running right at 3000fps. What were you getting with 42.0?
I had laddered 38 up to 41 for the first test loads. Got groups like the above with 38.0 then it started opening up. I did see 'em begin to close again at 41.0, but decided to stop where I was. Going out to CO prarie dog hunting at the end of the month, but when I get back I will try upping the load.
I had done quite a bit of research on powders while waiting on the barrel. There were alot of people getting good results with Varget in .260. I use it in .223 and .243 so I was familiar with it. I haven't tried 4350 with the .260, but I have some that I use with 30-06. I don't like the way it meters. I'm loading 400 of 'em so I really wanted the Varget to perform well which fortunatley, it did.

I would have to check my load data as it was for a 260 I no longer own. I believe it was pretty darn close to 3300 out of a 24". If you ever start shooting the 140s out of your 260 I would highly advise to giving h4350 a shot. Varget and h4350 seem to meter the same for me so I'm stuck using the chargemaster instead of the powder charger no mater which of those powders I use.

I will definately give the h4350 a try with the 142gr SMK's in the garage. If I'm only loading a handful, I don't care how it meters!
Any tips for the 107's? Got some of them as well.

Got mixed up. Been loading 107gr and 142gr SMK's. Been callin em 102 and 147 for some reason. My first experience with the 6.5mm, so this is definately a learning experience. My bad.

Nice shooting!

Here is a spreadsheet of 6.5mm bullets that I made up a while back. It is a two page document with Hunting type bullets on one page and Target bullets on another. It lists their brand, model numbers, weights, BCs and prices (I need to update the prices). When I made the leap into 6.5 I needed a way to keep track of what was offered out there and this is the only way I could keep it straight in the beginning. Maybe it'll help you keep it straight. Haha.

Thanks Trent. Sure that will come in handy. BTW, right down the road from you in Albany.
