This is a good question for MrFurious. What is the status of the LH Axis rifles? Are they just going to quietly die?

I for one hope so.

Savage needs to concentrate on higher quality LH offerings rather than lower quality ones IMO.

I have to agree. I would be more into their higher quality offerings as a lefty.

I called Savage last week and Kathy said they will be available around September 15th. I had one on order but cancelled it after I found a Model 11 on GunBroker for $400.
Good luck and good shooting...

Don't get all hurt SF. You never said you wanted one you just asked about their status.

If you want one more power to you.

As for me, you couldn't give me one.

I've all but given up on waiting for the LH Axis rifles to ship. This time last year I was told January, then in Jan I was told late Feb/early Mar, Then in March I was told April/May....the trend perpetually continues.

I guess they started shipping. Lots of them at Buds Gun Shop and on GunBroker. Zanders (distributor in southern Illinois) has dozens of them, at around 260 dealer price. I've been immune to the whole axis thing so far, but this is an interesting development.
