Savage does not offer a 243 in the LRPV. You can order a 243 in a LRP which is almost the same gun but with a DBM. The factory barrels in the 243 caliber are all the 9.25 twist and may be too slow for the heavier bullets. Your second option would be building a LRPV with an after market 8 twist 243 barrel and having exactly what you wanted to start with.

Savage does not offer a 243 caliber in their LRPV Rifles. They do offer a 243 in their very similar LRP models, these are the chrome moly rifles with the DBM in a 9.25 twist. Another option would be building your own rifle using the Savage Stainless Single Shot Target Action with an after market barrel in a 8 twist to allow you to shoot the heavier bullets.
