Felt like I could jump in with my Axis after I completed the new paint job today.

Here's one I'm finishing up. This well be my primary hunting rifle for anything from coyote, to javelina, to whitetail, to elk if I'm lucky. I wanted something that would do the job ethically to my comfort distance of 5-600 yards so I chose the 7mm saum.
Barrel is a McGowan 26" varmint contour
Stock is a bedded FCP-k accustock.
Scope is the vortex 2.5-10x32 pst. It's only mocked up on there and currently has an egw 20 MOA base, but it'll have a weaver flat base by the time it's finished because it's lighter and lower.
It'll also have a tac ops rear saddle and will be just under 12 pounds all up. With the padded sling it carries quite effortlessly.
Paint is krylon khaki base with some olive drab and dark brown templates for a desert camo look.

How does the gun sit in the stock.I've read about the barrel rubbing on one side, out of line with it.

Here's a 300 WSM that I had for a while. Sold it to a buddy who wanted it more than I did.

Here's an older picture of my 375 BME. I switched scopes and put a Mk 4 8.5-25x50 M5 TMR on there and added a cheek piece since then. This thing practically qualifies as a "hard target" rifle. 350gr Matchkings at 3050 fps!

Here's a comparison of the case. This is a 6 BR, 308, 300 wsm, 338/375 Ruger and the 375 BME.

This is the 375 next to a 308.

It's not exactly a 200 yard plinker!

I took me about two years to finally be able to buy one. I am a big fan.

Here's my new 260AI build in the foreground and my buddy Bob shooting my 260 Rem in the background. Today was the first day I shot the 260AI and I was just fire forming 260AI brass from 260 Rem brass (Everything worked flawlessly). The 260 AI is a McGowen, 28", 1:8 twist, Shilen #7 profile barrel in a Manners T5 stock with SWFA SS 12X fixed scope (same stock/scope as the McGowen 24" 260 Rem rifle in the background).

Other than barrel length the rifles appear identical to the untrained eye which is my strategy for my wife not noticing that the number of rifles keeps increasing. :)

I can't believe you would do that to your wife.....

I have implemented a similar strategy....

Here's what the 260 Rem brass looks like after fire forming in the 260AI chamber versus the normal 260 Rem brass. My plan is to fire form brass in the 260AI and then full length resize from that point on.
