Just recieved a tactical bolt handle a rplacment for the 11FCNS in 308.

After removing the bolt and decocking to insert the allen key in the rear nut ,turning clockwise I find it impossable to turn the nut .Is there something I am missing in the instructions ?

Lefty loosy, righty tighty.! If you're looking at the rear of the bolt you need to turn the bolt assembly screw counter clockwise to loosen it. They are typically very tight, if you do a search on bolt handle removal or replacement you should find a couple tricks to help you.

put it on the floor and step on it for weight. there TIGHT and make a loud snap when they brake free.

yep. counterclockwise to remove. clockwise to install. And they are very tight, but do as Blue Avenger said and it will come loose no problem.

Foot pounds are determined by whether you weight 155lbs. or are a 285lb linebacker.

I did three of them today with bolt handles I got from SSS. I used a 1/4" drive and a torque wrench. Two of them required better than 25FP to break loose and the third was barely finger tight. Who knows?
