New Savage Mark II G

Just ordered a Savage Mark II G .22 rifle for plinking. This is my first rifle. I own a Beretta 92FS 9 mm and Mossberg 500 12 ga. Any advice for a new Mark II owner? Could anyone recommend ammo that this gun likes best or will it shoot any brand well? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Frank.

it well most like shoot all ok but you'll have to shoot some dif. brands and find out witch it likes the best

Welcome to the website, you'll prolly find a wealth of information here with a little looking around.

And moa has it right. Each rifle will be a little picky. But should shoot most brands well. I'd say buy a couple different varieties of ammo first. Standard velocity, subsonic, and high velocity from all the different major companies.

The guys over at rimfirecentral and snipershide have alot of good info also.
