Has anyone built a 6 Dasher sporter or hunting rifle yet? If so what components were used and how is it performing. I am thinking about a winter project. Luckus

Should be a accurate varmint/light game rifle, just a little less than a 243. Been thinking about the same thing, short stiff barrel....21 3/4 CBI from Northland, no turn neck. 1 in 8.5 or 9. Best 20x scope I can afford. Would have Lee make me a collet die, Forester FL and BR seating dies. I see nothing wrong with a plain jane 6BR either.

I think I would go with a longer (26") barrel, but would not dismiss the 6BR either.

I have a 6XC. Shoots great and feeds slicker than deer guts down an ice hole. :) 22-250 brass is plentiful and reasonably cheap.

6BRX and don't look back!!! Fire form and use 6BR dies to work the brass along with a FL .308 die to sixe the body. Moves a 105 Berger VLD Hunting Bullet at 2990. It's a hammer!!!!!
