Do you guys think this is to light for coyote hunting?

Not at all. I run less than that in my 7mm WSM Winny. My savages run about 2.5 lbs. Juat make sure it doesn't slam fire or fire when working the bolt and such. If the trigger pull is that light inadvertently, I would have it checked by a qualified gunsmith.
