210 slug bolt

i called savage about the firing pin pertrusion on my 210 and they want me to ship the whole gun. can a good gun smith check this by sending the bolt only? will cleaning usaally solve the problem?

to take the outer sleeve of the bolt off do you just use an allen key to take off the rear bolt? i tried this but it wouldnt budge.
