Does anyone make a Benchrest Stock for a Savage MKII. I am going to try to shoot in the Benchrest games with it. It sure would be nice if Savage would get into this with there .22??

I believe Boyd Stocks make a Benchrest stock for the MK11, I consider the Savage MK11 "TR" model a benchrest gun.

If you could find it, manners stocks had a limited run in the T4 configuration. Just go to their website for more info.

What do you mean by benchrest stock? I have a Boyds Tacticool that works pretty well from the bench on my Mark II. I hated the plastic one it came with. Don't mind the scope, I had it laying around so it made it's way onto my plinker. Oh, should mention I am new and this is my first post. Hi everyone.

No one makes a true benchrest stock for a MKII. For a nice true benchrest stock, (One that has a 3 inch wide forarm ETC) you will have to have one custom made.

For the people that dont know what a true benchrest stock is here is a picture.

richards makes them, but it is a long wait and questionable finishing. I have heard of them having horrendous tooling chatter requiring the buyer to do a lot of sanding and "top dressing." Also heard they dont always fit correctly and may require some finishing to the inletting to get it perfect. Not all of them have been reported to have problems though from my research.

This is all heard (or read) and not personal experience, so take that for what it is worth. They very well could show up the best fitting and finished stock you have ever seen.
