Scope base mounting holes, not drilled correctly

I have tried two rails and other suggestions. Also another scope from a proven rifle! My problem is I can't get enough adjustment to the right. All the way and I am still about 1" left from target center!

What is a solution for this problem. I understand several have had this same type situation. Can I have the base mounting holes redrilled, just move the base back a little and redrill, or . . . I am looking for suggestions.

Try some Leupold STD rings and bases. They have additional windage adjustment built into the bases themselves, although they are a bit of a pain in the ass to install.

The holes are drill properly, what the problem is when they heat treat the actions they warp, and this is why they are off center. It is also posible that it is not the action but the basses that are off. (Seen this a couple of times.) Try flipping the base/s around backwards and see if the problem doenst shift or go away. If the action is warped, it would need starightened.

Perhaps Burris Signature Zee rings with the inserts might be able to get you boresighted. You can use them to move your scope up to ~40 moa or so max.

There not to bad to work with if, you can think far enough ahead about your actions and the metals reactions to almost solve the Rubic's cube. If you can't solve at least 4 sides don't even try.

If it is of recent production, contact Savage Customer Service. If problem is not resolved, I would send it to Mr. Ron Coburn present CEO of Savage Arms. Include a note asking Him how you should approach the repair.

On the other side of things, You dont need a fixture to straighten them out.
