Why is every body afarid to Make an after market barrel for the 338 Lapua Mag on the 110 BA Action?

Do you mean one that is ready to screw on and chambered? Just about every one offers blanks in .338

At $2 to $6 a shot for factory .338 Lapua why would you want to have the generic throat of a prefit anyway?

If I'm spending that kind of money I wouldn't settle for anything other than a top quality 5R rifled barrel with a chamber and throat cut to my exact specifications.

Beacuse they don't care for the lawsuits that will follow when your 110 comes apart and someone gets hurt. Savage does not use standard 110 actions for the Lapua.

They will make you a 338 RUM or 338 Edge, both of which are faster and cheaper to reload for than the Lapua. Although, this is sketchy on a small actioin as well, some will not make it.
