Anybody here ever set up a 7.62x40 WT or .30-223 Apache savage barrel ??
I have a ton of 223 brass, so was thinking about one of the the above.
The WT would have slightly less capacity than the Apache but can run in an AR
and ammo, brass, dies, gages are available.
According to the numbers I ran on the 7.62x40 wt interpolated from a 16" barrel on the wilson site to a 22-24"
Savage barrel the number look very respectable and a 150 gr BT bullet loaded long maxed out
would have over 1000 fpe at 300 yards.
The 110 gr TTSX would run at about 2700-2750 or so out of a 24" barrel.
