short action options

rem 40x is a short action that runs SA & LA catridges single shot
is there any reason I cant run a 300WM in a mod 12 lrpv?

It can be done as a single shot. You might have to pull the bolt to eject a live round.

I hadnt thought of
to pull the bolt I have to pull the trigger & push sear
with a live round stuck to bolt face
but its gonna move sear away from the cocking button on liftting the bolt ??

The savage rifle can only be discharged when the bolt is closed. Pulling the trigger while the bolt is open to remove the bolt will not cause the rifle to discharge. Of course, always point the rifle in a safe direction anyway. ;)
