Hello,

Due to continued unavailability of the 40gn ammunition I usually use in my Mk II BTVS, I switched over to 36gn at an advertised 1280fps - Winchester 333 - for hunting this year.

I regularly take small game at 75 to 100yds.

The bullet drop of the CCI 40gn was in the range of 6", sighted in at 50 yards. The 'scope is reading about -4.25" impact for this 36gn stuff at 100yds using the 50yd sight-in, 34.6 degrees out, 20 MOA 'scope mount. Total drop from point blank seems to be around 13.5".

Wind was from 90 degrees, 13mph.

Does all this sound correct?

Thanks,

Here (http://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmtraj-5.0.cgi) is the best place to verify ballistics for free. I use to to verify other programs I use on my Iphone.

Off the cuss it sounds about right. If you are getting 6" with the 40 grain stuff then 4.25" with the 36 grain stuff then it would seem around right.

Total drop is inline with what I would expect for a 22lr.

That sounds about right for hunting ammo.
