Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has any experience installing a SSS trigger on a 10fcp hs precision. So far so good on my install. I had to modify the bracket, but no big deal. After adjusting everything tested ok. Problem arose once I torqued down the action to the stock. 65 inch/pounds and trigger would not reset. I believe that it may just be my lack of care properly aligning everything, but I just wanted to see if anyone out there had to remove material from the trigger guard. Seems plenty wide, but appears there may be contact towards the front. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The trigger could possibly be hitting part of the stock. Also, if the stock is not bedded or not the stock is not straight, it will put a bind on the action causing the problem your having! I had this problem and it was the stock, I had it straighten and bedded and all is ok now. I also had one where the trigger was hitting the stock after tightening the bolts causing the same problem.

Two area to start looking!

Same gun/Same trigger. Its hitting the front of the trigger gaurd. I put a plastic shim on the action screw between the stock and trigger gaurd. You could file the front of the trigger gaurd as well.

Nothing to fancy to make it work. My shim was cut with a pocket knife from the cover of a body fortress whey protein jug.

The hs precision stocks have the bb block. I was thinking it was going to be trigger guard relief or possibly a rear action screw too long deal. (been reading a lot about that while researching) have to wait for my replacement screw from savage as I stripped it out during this whole ordeal before I can really mess around with it. Was hoping someone had some experience with this specific stock. Keep the help coming. Don't want to remove material if I don't have too.
