From my personal experience two pounds makes a world of difference to me.
We rifle loonies need goals and mine is lightweight rifles.
This rifle may well be know here as I'm the fourth owner.

I hear ya, just stating my preference about weight, it doesnt matter to me much, but I can understand why it is important to you. Functionality and accuracy are what matter to me and my Savage delivers on that.

The fit and finish seem pretty good from the pictures, but I have to agree the recoil pad wasn't fit very well, judging by the look of it I would say its about 7-9 years old, Kevin has really improved his build quality since then, so I would assume his more modern stocks are a bit better. I asked him one what has changed over the years and he gave me a long list for pretty much all of his stocks, so it seems to me that Kevin actively seeks to improve his designs, according to him his PD/T stock has had many revisions on just the butt hook alone!

BTW, your rifle looks really good, can we get a picture of the inletting while you're at it?

Now I need to strip the coating off the BA.

Going to try Aircraft Remover stripper first and if that doesn't work I'll AO blast it.

Have to decide on a paint scheme for the stock too. Right now I'm thinking purple and gold (MN Vikings colors), Something approximating Ayrton Senna's helmet and a checkered flag, or black with orange splatters.

Senna's helmet.

The camo stock has kind of grown on me over time.

I am removing the paint from the BA though.

I like the bolt handle on your rifle. Where did you get yours at nsaqam?
